The purpose of Christmas is the brith of Jesus Christ. What's different about his brithday and yours is that his
you and I get gifts and he doesn't. What he wants for his brithday is for us to give to others. To share peace and love with
one another. Doing this is giving back to him.
Most Australians are Christians so they celebrate in simmilar ways we do in the United States.
